Train and Town
...calmly pretending to be me

Water strikes the windows as the town goes falling by
Just like any other town
Too much rain and too much drowning
Thirty-seven minutes you can see a lot of towns
Eyes that follow silently
"Look, there goes the train"
Thinking to themselves as the steel crushes down

Half of my own face, I catch it staring back at me
Striking as a shadow of me
Calmly pretending to be me
Seven minutes later I have shadows that are longer
The same as every year, I pay no attention
Thinking to myself as the lines grow stronger

And I feel myself moving
And I feel myself moving

Soft rain and the wheels persuade my mind to wander
This town could be my town
Chances are I wouldn't drown
Twenty seconds lost, I have allowed myself to wander
"Where have I gone? Where have I gone?"
Thinking to myself as the steel crushes under

And I feel myself moving
And I feel myself moving
