Photograph
...Half a photograph to remind you

Newspaper lies open to the page that lay open
When you finally decided that it just doesn't matter
Candles burned down 'til there was smoke trailing off
A bitter pool that lay wasted, growing hard

And you, by the telephone not calling
And you, by the window not breathing
In the room with the news that you kept to yourself
Half a photograph to remind you

Half a photograph - at your feet lies half the picture
One and one makes two - two halves of a picture
One of your borders has caved in....

One and one makes two halves of a picture
They fit nicely together for the longest time

And you, rip the faces from your photographs
And you, rip the fabric of your life
In the room with the news that you kept to yourself
Half a photograph to remind you

Half a photograph - at your feet lies half the picture
One and one makes two - two halves of a picture
One of your borders has caved in....

And you, by the telephone not listening
And you, by the telephone not breathing
In the room with the news that you kept to yourself
Half a photograph to remind you
