3rd Verse
...She had a dream and she was in it for a while

The rage they felt went silent as the storm withdrew
Apologies were choked out and sputtered through
The passion that had blown them to the edge of all they knew
Talked over and talked through

You can't look and you can't look away
She composed a lyric in her car that very day
Saying almost nothing that she felt - except the part
Where she said she couldn't stay

She drove the storm away
Set the mirrors and drove away
Two verses of regret
The third with everything she had to say....

She had a dream and she was in it for a while
Some soap to help remove the ring - she kept it for a while
But on the skin the shadow lingers
Then it fades after a while

She pushed the storm away
Set her face and looked away
Two versions of the way she felt
On any other day
She drove the storm away
Set the mirrors and drove away
Two verses of regret
The third with everything she had to say....
